Bronwyn Fees Ph.D.
Dr. Bronwyn Fees is a professor in the Department of Applied Human Sciences and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs in the College of Health and Human Sciences at Kansas State University. Dr. Fees earned her PhD in Human Development and Family Studies-Child Development at Iowa State University and joined the faculty at K-State in early childhood and life-span human development in 1998. Prior to K-State Fees taught at the University of Nebraska at Kearney and Huron University also serving as the Director of Institutional Assessment. She has published and presented nationally and internationally on physical activity in young children in child care settings, served on state and national committees in early childhood, serves on editorial boards and a reviewer for professional journals and led study abroad experiences to China, Hungry, Tanzania, and Paraguay and sponsored faculty exchange. She is the PI for Kansas Child Care Training Opportunities Inc. (KCCTO), a sponsored project providing workforce development, training and technical assistance for early childhood professionals in Kansas accumulating over 10 million in contracts and over 30 full and part-time staff.
As associate dean, Fees facilitates course and curriculum processes, assessment, strategic planning, and distance programs. Highlighting leadership opportunities, Fees serves on the Great Plains Interactive Distance Education Alliance (GPIDEA) (immediate past board chair) and Cabinet, sits on K-State’s Committee on Academic Planning and Procedures (past chair), General Human Ecology unit (past coordinator) and currently serves on the provost’s strategic enrollment management committee. She is Past-Chair of the Council of Administrators of Family and Consumer Sciences, Chair of the Assembly of Higher Education, member of the Board on Human Sciences (unit within APLU), and board member of the Kansas-Paraguay Committee. Fees is an American Council on Education Fellow.
